Abiodun Adetokunbo is an economist and university lecturer at Augustine University, Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Economics from Babcock University, with MSc and BSc degrees in Economics from University of Ilorin and Osun State University respectively.

His research interests include energy economics, macroeconomic policy, trade and development, green finance, and institutional dynamics in emerging economies. He is equally interested in technology adoption and informalities in low-income countries. He has published in journals such as Resources Policy, SN Business & Economics and Quality & Quantity among others. Earlier in 2025, he participated as a PEDL Young Scholar at the Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries (PEDL) Matchmaking Workshop held at the University of Oxford and attended the CSAE Annual Conference at the University of Oxford.
