Andrew Foley
Assistant Professor
NYU Stern
Andrew Foley studies the hidden social dynamics of entrepreneurship. In particular, his research examines how social networks and structures can sometimes work against entrepreneurs in unexpected ways. His current projects investigate the role of social capital in high-tech firms, family businesses, and private equity, showing how these elements can both help and hinder entrepreneurial success. He employs a mix of econometric and statistical methods, along with lab and field studies, to get to the heart of these issues.
