Ben Eyre

Ben is the Co-Director of the MA in Global Social Development at the University of East Anglia, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). He has a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Social and Cultural Anthropology from University College London. He obtained his PhD in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Manchester. He then worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, where he remains a research associate of the Social and Cultural Anthropology Lab.

Before returning to academia he worked for a decade as an advisor to sustainability and impact investors as well as philanthropic foundations. His interdisciplinary background informs his current research which explores social and cultural aspects of innovative participatory methods, the social economy, place-based investing, sustainability and sustainability transitions, as well as impact measurement and evidence-informed decision making.
