Postdoctoral Researcher
Harvard Business School
Binglu is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard Business School, where she moved after completing her PhD in Management & Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
She studies access to innovation, and what is lost when access is uneven: not only unfair recognition, but innovation that never happens. One line of her work traces where opportunity disappears for talent around the world. The other asks what can be done, testing whether AI can connect talent to the resources innovation depends on, and whether it narrows these gaps or widens them.
She combines global field experiments, large-scale innovation data, and mathematical modeling to study these questions at the scale they occur. She was the lead organizer of the 2024 Summer Institute in Computational Social Science (SICSS) Chicago.
