David Martínez de Lafuente

David Martínez de Lafuente is a senior researcher at the ISEAK Foundation. His work focuses on labor economics, inequality, and education, where he applies experimental methods, causal inference, and advanced statistical techniques such as machine learning and text analysis.

He holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (EUI). At ISEAK, he leads and develops research projects in collaboration with public institutions at the regional, national, and international levels. His work includes evaluating public policies, designing field experiments, and conducting applied empirical research.

Previously, David worked as a consultant for the World Bank’s Global Education Practice and served as a teaching assistant at NYU-Florence. He is the author of several research papers published in leading international journals, including Labour Economics and Teaching and Teacher Education (TATE).
