Igor Asanov is head of the Evidence-Based Science and Innovation Policy Research Group at the International Center for Higher Education Research (INCHER), at the University of Kassel. He is also an invited researcher at J-PAL. He received his doctoral degree at the Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, at the group DFG “Economics of Innovative Change.” He provides lab, lab-in-field, and field experiments (including randomised controlled trials) to tackle issues that range from entrepreneurial training, to policies, to academic spin-offs.
He conducts randomised controlled trials and lab-in-field experiments to study which entrepreneurial training boost entrepreneurial activity. He also conducts field experiments in labour market to study discrimination against entrepreneurs.
