Luca Henkel

Luca Henkel is an Assistant Professor of Finance (tenure-track) at the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He received his Ph.D. in 2023 from the University of Bonn.

His research fields are behavioral economics and household finance. In particular, he examines determinants and consequences of financial and moral decision-making using experiments (field, lab, and online), surveys, and linked survey-administrative data. A recent focus is to use natural field experiments to understand how AI automation reshapes firms and workers.

He co-organizes the annual Early-Career Behavioral Economics Conference and the Chicago School in Experimental Economics.
