Sandy Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship department at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She utilizes a data-driven approach to examine the strategic drivers of entrepreneurial growth and fundraising, with a specialized focus on how institutional intermediaries and investors, including accelerators, crowdfunding platforms, and venture capitalists, shape venture performance. Her research has been published in leading academic journals such as Management Science and Research Policy, with support from the National Science Foundation and the Kauffman Foundation. Sandy earned her Ph.D. in Economics from New York University and holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
