Scaling Innovation: Enhancing Delegation Skills to Unlock Entrepreneurial Growth in Developing Economies

High-growth entrepreneurship in developing countries faces critical barriers related to entrepreneurial capabilities. While accelerators have proven effective in unlocking the potential of innovative entrepreneurs (González-Uribe & Reyes, 2021), scaling successful businesses remains a significant challenge. Entrepreneurs who achieve growth often face new hurdles, such as effective delegation, a crucial skill for overcoming time and resource constraints (González-Uribe & Leatherbee, 2018; González-Uribe, Leatherbee, & Reyes, 2024). This project will examine how targeted interventions in delegation skills impact entrepreneurial growth and job creation, building on research that highlights the need for differentiated training to enhance managerial and entrepreneurial capital (González-Uribe, Leatherbee, & Reyes, 2024). Additionally, we will analyze how information and communication technologies influence organization and innovation, recognizing that the balance between technology and coordination can accelerate or constrain growth (Garicano & Rossi-Hansberg, 2012). Collaborating with entities like iNNpulsa Colombia and the Cali Chamber of Commerce, we aim to design interventions to elevate these ventures further.
